TIPPS holds events and hosts information tables on campus to help raise awareness and educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco. The coalition also tries to prevent students from starting tobacco use and assists current users with cessation. TIPPS spent many years developing campus tobacco policy and are pleased to announce that HCC became completely tobacco-free effective July 1, 2007.
TIPPS has held many events, including the "Great American Smokeout" and a "Smokeless Tobacco Day." The coalition administers tobacco use surveys at HCC's annual Welcome Back Picnic and Spring Fling and hosts information tables at "Wellness Day" and the "Wellness Fair."
